The SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2010 fair saw the announcement that the CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) had signed an agreement with the FDT Group to incorporate the CC-Link family of open networks into the FDT standard by development of a protocol annex.
The FDT Group and The International Society of Automation (ISA) jointly announce that the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) formally approved Field Device Tools (FDT) Technology standards—as previously adopted internationally as IEC 62453 and approved in the United States by the ISA103 Field Device Tools Interface (FDT) committee. These US standards will now be designated as ANSI/ISA standards.
