FDT Technology to be displayed demonstrating standardized device integration

The FDT Group, with membership consisting of leading automation end-user and supplier companies, will be exhibiting at ISA Brazil in Sao Paulo on November 10-12, 2009 (booth J02).  The Latin American market is a leader in process and factory automation for smart device integration and the FDT Group is excited about the opportunity to demonstrate the value of FDT to the local region.  With the recent news and excitement about FDT Technology standardized internationally as IEC-62453, the FDT Group is planning a spectacular showcase appealing to engineering, operations, and maintenance personnel highlighting the technology’s key benefit – open access to device intelligence – independent of the communication protocol or software environment of  the device or host throughout the lifecycle of the facility.

The Brazil Marketing Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Robson Nascimento of Metso Automation will showcase the magnitude and power of FDT Technology for advanced diagnostics and device integration with in-booth demonstrations.  These demonstrations will include multiple vendors – ABB, Endress + Hauser, Invensys, Metso Automation, Rockwell

Automation, Smar, Turck and Yokogawa across popular communication protocols such as HART, Profibus and FOUNDATION fieldbus. In addition to technology demonstrations for the process and factory industries, FDT educational presentations will occur in the booth throughout the ISA show, each day.  On November 12, 2009 (2:30 PM in the Vila Guilherme room) Hartmut Wallraf, the chairman of the FDT Group will present a technical seminar on FDT Technology, allowing registered ISA attendees a chance to deepen their understanding of the technology.

Registered ISA attendees are invited to visit the FDT Group booth to review the presentation schedule and increase understanding of this international standard for device integration with vendor neutral technology demonstrations.  For questions related to the FDT booth at ISA Brazil, please contact: [email protected].
