The FDT Group started its EMEA Marketing Activities in the Middle East on the 9th May with he first FDT Roadshow in Bahrain. This event attracted about 160 participants out of which more than 100 were deputising end-users. This corresponds to the highest number ever for a FDT Roadshow / Event. The combination of presentations and workshops established a direct link between theory and practice.  The program was completed by several end users applications presentations which illustrated the implementation of the technology in actual projects.

Michael Paulus, President of the FDT Marketing Committee Middle East is confident that the market is willing to adopt upcoming technologies such as FDT: “The Middle East offers the highest growth potential for business with the process automation industry. The high adoption rate of new technologies, such as Fieldbus, in the last 5-6 years underlines that the end-users do see the need for state of the art automation technology in order to achieve maximum profits and a fast return on their investments. FDT supports all the major Fieldbus communication protocols, over 800 field devices and many control systems.  It can accommodate existing automation systems and therefore protects the investment”.
